// crew briefing

Welcome aboard, crew member.

You've found the XyvorraOS community hub. Below is your mission briefing — where the crew operates, how the station is laid out, and the crew code you're expected to follow. Read it. Then get in the Discord.

Station layout

Where the crew operates.

Two main locations. Discord is mission control — real-time, fast-moving, where things happen first. GitHub is the docking bay — structured, searchable, permanent.

Primary location

The Station — Discord

Xyvorra Station is the crew's home base. Polls before features ship, patch previews before they drop publicly, bug chats, theme contests, fan art, and people who actually get why you're building your own OS. This is where the story happens in real time.

Secondary location

The Docking Bay — GitHub

The docking bay is where you file flight reports, submit cargo manifests, and check the mission logs. Structured, searchable, permanent. If something broke or you want something built — it goes here.

Flight report
Bug Report

Something broke mid-flight. File a flight report — what happened, what you expected, what actually exploded. The more detail, the faster it gets fixed.

Update Feedback

You ran xyvorra-update and want to share how it went — smooth landing or rough re-entry. Both are genuinely useful.

Cargo manifest
Feature Request

Something you'd love to see on the next flight. Submit a cargo manifest — what it is, why it matters, and what it'd look like. The roadmap gets shaped by these.

Rules of the ship

Crew Regulations.

Short list. Easy to follow. Break them and you get booted from the airlock. It's not complicated.

XYVORRA-STATION · CREW-REGS-v1 · EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
REG-01
No politics, religion, or OS-bashing
Zero tolerance. Not the place, not the time, not ever. This is a Linux distro, not a debate club.
REG-02
Treat crew members with basic decency
Personal attacks, being unnecessarily unpleasant, or making people feel unwelcome — none of that here. This is a chill ship.
REG-03
Keep it clean
Language and content that doesn't belong in a public space doesn't belong here either. Match the vibe of the place.
REG-04
Don't spiral over internet stuff
Someone said something you disagree with? Scroll past it. Flag it if it's actually a problem. Life's too short and the galaxy's too big.
REG-05
Use the right channels
Bug reports go in #bug-reports, not #mission-control. Feature ideas go in #feature-requests. Keep the station organized so everyone can find things.
The vibe is good people, good conversations, good project. This crew is building something real together — the OS, the community, the story around it. If something bothers you, move on or flag it quietly. If you're adding to the experience for everyone, you're exactly who this ship needs. Welcome aboard.
